I have tried to change the end date of this contract on my PDI, just to get it out of the expired state. I was able to change the end date and save it. However, it did not change to active state. It still remains in expired state (Expiration field = Expired). I checked the flow and it checks on the end date of the contract. Since I updated it and saved it, it should have updated the expiration field as well. But it did not as expected.

Hi @AlexandraJ,
I have tried in classic UI level in my PDI, the Expiration changed from Expired to Within 30 Days. I used a contract which was in Draft state and Expiration = Expired. For State = Expired, end date cannot be changed due to read only setting.
Please try different scenarios to see what works and what doesn't work OOB.

Hi @AlexandraJ
- Ensure you have contract_manager role
- Just a reminder - to do this activity in prod , you should have project/business/Client approval
In your sandbox , you can try this ,
- Navigate to System Security > Access Control (ACLs).
- Search for an ACL rule that restricts writing to the State field on the ast_contract table.
- Assign the same role to you OR Temporarily disable or modify the ACL to allow yourself permission to edit the state
