How to Share a Report with a Specific User (View Only – No Edit Access) through impersonate user

Hi All,

I have created a report in ServiceNow and would like to share it with a specific user. My requirement is:

  • The user should be able to view the report only

  • The user should not be able to edit or modify the report

  • The user should not have unnecessary access beyond viewing reports

I tested this using Impersonate User, but I want to confirm the correct and best-practice approach.

 

Note: I'm giving report_admin, then only able to see the Reports section under the usages and governance but when I'm giving report_user not able to see the usage and governance section, and without usages and governance section i'm not able to see reports
