Below you can see Portal Object Widget. In this example, it's displayed on the business portal.
This widget is out of the box for the business portal and other CRM & Industry customer portals that leverage Configurable Portal Widgets.
When the administrator does a "Control and Right-Click", the instance options display.
Key things to consider when updating the Configure Widget Instance Options for this widget:
Instance Options Overview
Purpose: Configure the Portal Object widget on a portal page.
Data Fields
- Table: Default is Asset [alm_asset].
- Record:
- Default sys_id: 00a96c0d3790200044e0bfc8bcbe5dc3.
- If empty, uses sys_id from URL.
- If both URL and Record field have sys_id, the Record field takes precedence.
Behavior Fields
- Card Title: Up to three fields can be combined for the card title.
- Image Field: Specifies the image field for the card.
- Image Style: Options are Thumbnail (default) and Avatar.
- Summary View Fields: Different fields displayed for desktop and mobile views.
- Details View: Shows field value pairs when "View all" is selected.
- Actions: Predefined actions displayed on the card.
- Multiple actions show as "Actions".
- Single action displays its name.
- No action means no button displayed.
Additional Options
- Enable Service Definitions: Displays associated service definitions.
- Enable Editing Record: Allows users to edit record details if permissions are granted.
