Catalog items are not visible on homepage search in CSM Portal and Custom Portal

I am not getting catalog items when searched in the homepage search. But when searched getting the knowledge articles.

 

Even after configuring the search sources for the portal(custom and CSM) , still i cannot get the catalog item results in the homepage search on the portal.

Notify what I was missing on .

Things to check

1) add some keywords in the Meta field in record producer

2) ensure "No Search" is unchecked for your item

3) Any user criteria is blocking the record producer?

See on the CSM Portal we have search sources as knowledge bases and catalogs, 

in that respective they have added knowledge bases and catalogs(as customer service).... Then the search results are not working.

Suppose if I remove those respective customer service cataog and knowledge bases, then it is working.

Here The reindex of the sc_cat_item and sys_metadata tables is not required I think. But one doubt I was , when we attach the respective customer service catalog to the catalogs related list in portal why the search for catalog items is not working!
