CSM User preference and User Profile

Hi Everyone,

I don't understand how preferences and profile are used is CSM Portal :

As you see in picture below, my "sys_user" attributes are different from my "User Preference"

Updating one does not update the other.

User preference are retrieve from both url (via api request) :

https://INSTANCE.service-now.com/api/now/ui/concoursepicker/timezone

https://INSTANCE.service-now.com/api/now/ui/concoursepicker/language

How is that possible ?

How to link/sync User Preference and User Profile in both direction ?

I'm a bit confused, so are my customers. Thanks

As CSM does not use sys_user_preference to store User Preferecnes.

HI Imrane,

Take a look at Ep 36 of TechNow. Kreg talked about this in that show. Essentially, preferences override profile. And Profile overrides property.
