Portal FAQ widget not displaying articles if not logged in

Hi,

I am facing issue with out of the box Portal FAQ widget.


When the csm_index page in CSM portal is browsed after login, it is displaying published articles but if logged out and trying to browse the same page, the Portal FAQ widget is displaying "No results found" message.

 

I have done below steps suggested in forums/now assist. but no luck.

  1. I have verified the knowledge base's can read criteria and there are no restrictions.
  2. Articles are published and there are no restrictions at article level also.
  3. public flag is true for csm_index page, Portal FAQ widget and tree menu widget.
  4. kb_find and kb_view pages in public list are also public.

 

but none worked for me.

 

can anyone suggest how to resolve this issue and enable FAQ articles for public/guest view?

Hi @Murali38 

 

Logged-out users cannot see articles if they are restricted by User Criteria.

Ensure that both the Knowledge Base and the articles you intend to share are configured for public access — specifically, the canRead criteria should either include public or be left empty.
