Show all months on a Trend Chart even if no data

Hi community,

we are having trouble displaying the value zero in the report graphs. The graph below only shows the data for April and May over one year because there were only open tickets for these 2 months for the particular account :

But we want all the months to be visible on the graph with a value of zero. As shown below

It seems that this is OOTB behaviour and for this type of report it is recommended to use Performance Analytics. But this module is currently unavailable on our instances. I'd like to know if there's a workaround to make it visible on the report instead of using PA? Maybe via a script using the "Configure function field" option.
I don't see how to use this "Configure function field" option, and how to script to store months without data.

the short answer is no - it is not possible to show months where data is not present. As you also describes in relation to the requirement, I would recommend performance analytics.

In Platform Analytics, I now have the opposite problem. I don't want to show the empty months, but it still lists them.
