Hey,
Does anyone have any input on adding cell phone Service Providers in SN? I know they are listed on "cmn_notif_service_provider" table but how do you know if they work with SN? I have searched but not found anything to answer this question.
Thanks,
Jonathan

Hi, yes.
Firstly, if you don't mind, please mark my other replies as Helpful.
This isn't up to ServiceNow to support. They merely send an email to the carriers email preference for texting via email. So you'd need to contact the carrier and ask for their format/email address for allowing text via email...then just use that in SN as the email suffix in the settings as mentioned in the documentation I linked above.

Hi,
Please see the documentation here: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/london-servicenow-platform/page/administer/notification/task/t_Cr...
Which identifies the table, that you yourself mentioned in your post, but I'm not sure what else you'd like to know?
This allows you to add other carriers/service providers to your instance so that when your users want to add their cellphone, for example, to receive SMS Text...their carrier will be listed and servicenow will contact them properly.

Thanks Allen.
I think what I am trying to ask is how do I know if a carrier will work with ServiceNow. Do I just need to find a SMS Provider Email Suffix or Prefix? Do I need both Suffix and Prefix or just one of them? If so, any suggestions on how to do this? How do I know if I need to use script to enable the message to be sent to the carrier versus not? Does it have something to do with the carrier supporting SMTP or not? I have read through documentation but it is so vague that I cant get a clear picture of how all of this works and/or how to configure a new entry.
Thanks,
Jonathan
