The community appears differently to users, as shown below.
Only the user on the right can search for forums from the home page.
What causes this difference?

@Minamizono This is related to the user roles. The user on the left side doesn't have the same role which the users on the right side have.

Hi @Minamizono,
If you're seeing inconsistent behavior across users, here’s how to troubleshoot....
1. Compare Roles
Identify the roles assigned to both users. Confirm that the user with search access has roles the other doesn’t....
2. Check Portal Widgets & Configuration
Navigate to Service Portal > Portals and inspect the portal’s setup.
Ensure the search widget is active and not restricted via scripting or page configuration....
3. Review Search Sources
If you're using AI search or specific search engines, verify which sources are included and ensure they’re accessible to all roles.
If you found my response helpful, please mark it as ‘Accept as Solution’ and ‘Helpful’. This helps other community members find the right answer more easily and supports the community.
