Hey everyone, we are looking to switch from Smartsheet to ServiceNow Visual Task Boards. A lot of our people are building a board off the Task table so they can get all tickets at once. They want the lanes to correspond to the State, but there are many different state choices between all the task tables, so that creates a very wide board with dozens of lanes.
We're trying to come up with some creative solutions to work around this. What we've discussed so far is below. Has anyone else encountered a similar problem with this or have any other ideas?
- One board for each task table (Incident, SCTASK, etc) - Not ideal to have potentially four or more different boards.
- Change all task table states to match - We should avoid changing states if at all possible.
- Hide certain lanes on a guided board - Potential for losing a ticket in a hidden lane.

Hi @DylanBlumenberg ,
In my mind, only solution would be to create a board either based on task type instead of all tasks, or to limit the VTB by filtering the data down to a minimum - e.g. remove resolved, closed etc. from the view.
