ServiceNow's latest innovation, Creator Studio, introduces a suite of features aimed at streamlining and building request-based app creation process. This article explores the new features of Creator Studio, compares it with App Engine Studio. (slightly).
The Creator Studio is now live in PDIs from versions Washington Dc Patch 3 Hotfix 1. I have jumped into my PDI to explore it's functionalities. (it is still in progress..., assuming all the functionalities will be live in later releases.)

All-In-One Workflow Studio:
Looking at the installed files (Plugins) with Creator Studio, it comes with the all new Workflow Studio, offering unified access to Workflows, Flows, and Process Automation Designer (PAD) in one place. This consolidation simplifies the workflow management process, making it more efficient for developers. Creator Studio natively uses Playbooks to build out your approval workflows. AES doesn't have this capability.

- sn_pd_picker: Enables data pill functionality in flows and playbooks.
- sn_pill_field: Facilitates picker functionalities in workflows.
Collaboration Features:
- Both Creator Studio and App Engine Studio support collaboration requests, allowing multiple developers to co-create applications seamlessly. This feature fosters teamwork and accelerates the development process.
Deployment Pipeline:
- The Pipelines and Deployments app leverages the CI/CD spoke to provide admins with flexibility, visibility, and ease of use for deploying apps created in both App Engine Studio and Creator Studio. This ensures that apps can be moved to production with confidence and minimal friction.
Enhanced User Interface:
The Creator Studio comes with user-friendly interface, with easy to access tabs, overflow menus and Tooltips.
The tabbed environment, akin to workspace or web browser, enables developers to work seamlessly across multiple files and assets.

A noteworthy addition to the Creator studio is the Diagram Plugin, part of the new Seismic framework and UX design system. It allows developers to create advanced UX experiences, making app interfaces more engaging and interactive.

Although Gen AI is not currently supported, ServiceNow is exploring ways to integrate Gen AI accelerators in their future releases. import a pdf to turn into a form or give a prompt to build an app is very much a possibility in future releases. (ServiceNow Studio)
what happens to Catalog Builder.?
It's important to understand when to use Creator Studio versus Catalog Builder. While Catalog Builder is useful for catalog form needs, Creator Studio stands out with its superior capabilities and amazing features. it enables developers to create a complete application. find out more in below FAQ document.
Final thing to note is Creator Studio not intended to replace existing development tools like App Engine Studio/Catalog builder. It will complement AES by providing a new entry point for App Creation.
