Goal: You want to configure notifications in a UIB workspace so that users receive immediate updates about records they need to work on without leaving the workspace.
For example, to receive a notification when a record is assigned to a user like below.
Pre-requisite: the table needs to extend the Task table or have an “assigned to” field
Steps:
1. In classic UI
2. Navigate to System Notification > Provider > Notifications, and then click New. (As of Tokyo this is now for legacy workspaces)
2. (Tokyo) For configuration workspaces, go to "Workspace Experience / Administration / Notification triggers"
3. Select the table to receive notifications about
4. Add a condition: Assigned to changes
5. Set the value of Recipients in fields to the “assigned to” field
6. Save
7. In the related list “Contents” select “New Provider Content”
8. Select Workspace as the content type for your notification.
9. Set the name to anything, ex: “Request Notification Workspace Content”
10. Save.

Hi
basically that article is just a copy of the underlying documentation page but without mentioning:
- This kind of notification only apply to the legacy agent workspace.
- Workspace notifications can be sent to a maximum of five users only.
- After the notification is triggered, it is sent to recipients who aren't currently looking at the target record.
- Workspace deletes notifications after seven days.

Take a look at the screenshot, it's not a legacy workspace it is a custom workspace built with UIB.
Most of the notifications are about assignments so, of course, people are not looking at the target record.

Hi Marc,
Quick question: is there a way to customize the content that will be displayed in the notifications?
I've poked around, but not yet found anything configurable for the actual content.
Thanks,
-Brian

Hi
I have followed the same steps as you have mentioned. We have a workspace called "Procurement Workspace". When I create a new provider content and select workspace, I am unable to select Procurement Workspace in the Route Field, I can only see 'Agent Workspace" and "Legal Counsel Center". If I select Agent workspace, I am unable to see the notifications or/ notification tray icon in the Procurement Workspace.

In addition to this, if you want to build a notification on a non-task table, or you want to customize the message,
in step 8, select Next Experience as the Notification content type.
You can then define your own heading and message.
(Make sure to add a message, otherwise, it defaults to short description)

Just a note - I believe the "Next Experience" option is new in the Utah Version - so you will need to be on at least Utah to take advantage of that route

Hi
@Arnoud Kooi I have created a notification and selected the Notification content type as Next Experience. however, the notification isn't being triggered.
Scenario - I want to create a notification whenever the live agent requests /help from manager in workspace.

Is there a way to get these to make a noise?
if people are on other tabs in service now, it would be nice to hear something as an indictor to go back to that tab.
