I am very new to dashboards and I recently had to create a dashboard in a sub prod instance of Jakarta, and found it difficult to move it in an update set to other environments.
I followed the instructions here: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/jakarta-performance-analytics-and-reporting/page/use/performance-analytics/task/t_MoveDashboardWithUpdateSet.html
This seemed quite convoluted so I created a UI Action which automates the process.
Attached is an update set containing the UI Action.
Below are the images and instructions:
1.) View your dashboard.
2.) Click the context menu icon and select "Dashboard Properties" to bring up the dashboard record.
3.) Click the new "Unload Dashboard" form button to save your dashboard and its associated pages, tabs, canvas etc to your current update set.
NB: It will not export content such as reports you may have created.
