So you right-clicked on column header of a related list. Selected Configure and then List Control. Then, on the List Control form, you clicked Enable Edit.
Now you would have an Edit button on the related list. After testing its behavior, you decided it is not what you wanted. How do you remove the Edit button from the related list?
You can remove the Edit button by checking Omit edit button in the List Control form. But what if you want to revert back to the original List Control form with Enable Edit button? You tried clicking the Delete button on the List Control form and still no Enable Edit button? How do you get the Enable Edit button back?
The answer is quite simple but also quite confusing. Why? Because what you need to reset is not in the List Control table, but in the Dictionary table. Go to the table associated with the related list. Find the column that links the related list to the parent table — it would be a Reference type. Now go to the Reference Specification tab and uncheck Reference Floats.
Now the Edit button is gone from the related list and the Enable Edit is back on the List Control form.
