Business case/ Problem Statement

Ops/Admin team gets frequent requirements to provide the details for the groups for example who is the manager, who are the members and their employees id and email id etc.

 

Solution

 User will raise a request to get group details, it will proceed automatically and ServiceNow will send an email to the requester that will contain groups and related group members details. Apart from that user can download attachment for related group member from related request.

 

Note:

  1. Using user criteria, we can restrict to specific user, group, company etc.
  2. This is basic use case and can be reused/modified as per requirements.

 

Pros:

  1. For tracking/auditing purpose request details will be store in ServiceNow.
  2. This is fully automated process no manual effort is required.
