So I wanted to share with you what I done over the past weekend with the Now UI Framework. Please keep in mind this is in my local development and not wired up to the real UI Framework yet for the UI Frameworkfor Portal. So you just seeing what I been building with the raw components, etc.
Not much to see, but on the left I created a custom "card" that lists the basic info of the tickets. Based off the status, the color is different highlighting.
When a user clicks on a card, on the right it will load the details of the ticket. You can see that there is two tabs. Details and Activity. As part of our process here... when the user selects a service or we update it based off the issue, I created custom "service" widgets that displays the status of those widgets for if there is an issue or if their is maintenance window going on, etc.
I am still working on some other aspects like the "header", "navigation" that will go nicely into the layout format of UI Framework once I publish them after I think I got most of it working.
So I am an Enterprise Architect (Servers, network, security, etc.), but I do programming on the side, and doing this new framework with React, Webpack is great to develop "widgets" locally and test to see how they work vs. the old service portal way.
So great work ServiceNow for this great new aspect of development and design.
Thanks,
Shane
