This probably isn't best content for the Dev subform, but I couldn't find anywhere else to put it.
I've been thinking a lot of the famous annual Salary Survey put out by a certain staffing company. It strikes me as incredibly exploitative. After 5 minutes in this video, I believe you will too.
Nice video. Yeah...I'm not sure why anyone would offer their salary up to a random company, especially one throwing out a "chance" to win $500...do you do the same when going to Walmart and getting the survey from them that they circle on your receipt?
My feeling is...they have their own stats. They can research things on their own and figure it out.
This makes me think along the lines of an exit interview.
It doesn't benefit you...it benefits them. Sure you get to "voice" your opinion, but it's not worth it.
