Student Registration form - School Management System

The process operates as follows:
UC1 - Student information is gathered from the submitted form. A school representative then transfers the data from the physical document into the system.
UC2 - Individuals who visit the school in person will register their information directly.
In both scenarios, the administrator will review and validate the details before granting approval. Subsequently, the student will receive an email notification confirming their registration.

Hello!

I created an Asteroid Mining Permit Request app using Creator Studio. My app streamlines the process of requesting mining permits for asteroid missions. It includes a Record Producer and the associated playbook for the process.

Hanna_G_0-1726504311841.png

Users can access the record producer through the service portal, where they fill out a form that includes details such as the target planets – which they can select multiple referencing the location table – Don’t worry my fellow millennials! Pluto is considered a planet here 😉. There are also fields for an expiration date for the permit, and two spacecraft-specific fields.

Hanna_G_2-1726504333671.png

Once submitted, the request is automatically routed to NASA Mission Control for review and approval.
If the request is approved, the app generates a task to create the official permit and sends two emails—one to the requester with their permit details, and the other as a transmission to space outposts. If the request is not approved, it is closed without further action.

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve successfully completed the #BuildWithCreatorStudio Challenge. As part of this challenge, I created a video showcasing my experience building the "Recognition Hub" app—a user-friendly, no-code solution for easily nominating employees.

Recognition Hub is designed to streamline the Employee Nomination Program and improve how we recognize and reward outstanding team members.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Nomination Submission: Users can quickly submit nominations via a simple form. They enter details like the employee’s name, project name, reason for nomination, and award type. This ensures each nomination is captured accurately.
  2. Manager Approval: Nominations are sent to the employee’s manager for approval. The system handles notifications and approval tracking, making the process smooth and transparent.
  3. Automated Notifications and Reporting: The app sends automated updates to keep everyone informed and offers reporting features to track nominations, approvals, and awards.

Creating Recognition Hub has been an exciting journey, leveraging ServiceNow’s advanced features to enhance employee recognition. This app not only simplifies the recognition process but also helps foster a positive work environment by ensuring exceptional contributions are acknowledged and rewarded.

Hi everyone,

I have created an application named the Project Proposal App for Graduate Students! The Project Proposal App for Graduate Students is a cutting-edge solution crafted to simplify and enhance the process of submitting and approving project proposals for students in their final semester. Designed with both students and faculty in mind, this app provides a streamlined, efficient platform for managing project ideas and approvals.

VenkataSaiKu1_0-1726511277876.png

The core feature of the app is its comprehensive submission form, where students are prompted to provide detailed information about their proposed projects. This includes their name, student ID, project title, a detailed project description, the scope of the project, and a projected timeline for completion. The inclusion of these fields ensures that the app captures all necessary information, allowing for a thorough and informed review process.

VenkataSaiKu1_1-1726511327187.png

VenkataSaiKu1_2-1726511354482.png

Once a proposal is submitted, the app triggers an automated review request to the MS IT Professors group, which includes esteemed professors Murat Ozer, Vineela Kunapareddi, and Isaac Kofi Nti. The approval process is designed for efficiency: a proposal is considered approved if any one of the professors approves it, or it is rejected if any one of them declines. This system ensures a fair evaluation by harnessing the collective expertise of the academic panel and maintains a balanced review process.

VenkataSaiKu1_3-1726511392413.png

Following the review, the app sends an automated email notification to the student, detailing the professor’s decision. If a proposal is rejected, the student is given the opportunity to revise and resubmit their proposal with new ideas or adjustments. This feedback loop promotes continuous improvement and encourages students to refine their proposals based on academic feedback.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to ServiceNow for bringing in Creator Studio and its invaluable support. The platform’s intuitive design and powerful development tools have greatly facilitated the app-building process. Creator Studio has made it remarkably easy to develop and deploy this application, ensuring a smooth and efficient development experience.

I just finished building a Visitor Management System using Creator Studio! This system will help organizations streamline the entry and exit process for visitors, making it more efficient and hassle-free. With its user-friendly interface, Creator Studio made it simple for me to implement this idea and swiftly build up workflows and modify the app to suit our needs. The process went smoothly and effectively, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this app makes our team's Visitor Management System easier!

I created a simple request based montessori request tracking app where parents can manage lifecycle of request for admission into montessori for their kids.

This app performs following:

- Allows Parents Create Admissions requests from Service Portal.

- Allows Approvers to review requests on service portal.

- Once request is approved, a fulfillment task is created for the support group.

Support user uses workspace view to use workspace provided features e.g response templates, fulfillment instructions to work on the request.

- Once request is closed, the requestors are notified about the decision.

- Requesters can always check current status of their request on service portal menus.

It just took 10 minutes for me to build this simple request based app using Creator Studio.

- Create app using NLU based prompts and intake for creation.

- Configure workspace experience in creator studio for fulfillers.

- Configure a simple workflow using playbooks for intake request table.

- The inbuilt creator studio simulator lets business users to view the experience before publishing it.

- Once pipeline is configured by your System Admins, it's very easy to manage deployment for your app in production using app repos. ( No update sets needed to manage deployments).

Creator Studio is designed for no coders/business users to develop request based app in super quick time.

Beauty fo creator studio is your app will be UI agnostic.

If you want  to build complex workflows, you can always continue to build complex workflow for same app in App Engine Studio, Studio IDE.

e.g I can further enhance app in AES, Studio IDE by building below:

- Built flow designer flow to check for available seats and the update availability  on intake request table.

- Build REST integrations to check for parents home contact details before proceeding with request.

- Build Predictive Intelligence feature to let parents know of probability of child's admission getting approved based on historical data.

I am excited to share that I have successfully completed the #BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge!

For this challenge I built an app that assists team members in organizing the fun event of a team pot luck.   The Team PotLuck App is meant to ease the old process that was often captured via email or online spreadsheet by many teams, but are unorganized and don’t ask appropriate questions.  By creating this app in ServiceNow, teammates will be able to request for power outlets, email users on submission for tracking, and have a repeatable method for the creation of future events.   This request app will ensure there are no duplicates items being brought to the event, and quarterly workflows kickoff to leadership for morale and team building tracking.  A calendar entry is created, and members from other teams may now join in events to increase collaboration and festivities.   The day before the event, each entry gets an email reminder so that nothing is left to chance.   At the conclusion of the event, a survey can be sent asking about timing for future team events.  This app is simplistic as the user base for the app is for teams across the organization. These users won’t be technical, so it must be easy to use and administrate.

I found creating this app in Creator Studio to be very easy.  I have been building apps in ServiceNow since 2014, and this new experience reduces the complexity of the previous app engine experience.   The visual persona-based questions that are used to progress the buildout, coupled with the visual display of the workflow is a commercial software experience brought into the enterprise.  The ability to set the app permissions and collaborators was very easy, and will help draw more citizen development into the platform.   I liked the integration of both NowMobile and Virtual Agent as these were more bespoke in the past, and this experience really brings these features into focus.

I built a simple and effective Time Off Request app using Creator Studio – designed to streamline and simplify the process for employees to request time off. The app allows users to easily submit their time off requests, ensuring seamless communication, approval, and task management during absences, all with just a few clicks.

1.png

2.png

3.png

Once submitted, the request is automatically routed to their manager for approval. If approved, a task is generated to ensure the employee workload is reassigned during their absence, maintaining productivity.

Notifications keep everyone informed throughout the process.

Building this app was incredibly easy. Its drag-and-drop interface allowed me to quickly design the form and automate the workflow without writing any code. The result is a fully functional app that enhances communication, simplifies approvals, and ensures work continuity during time off.
