#BuildWithCreatorStudio Challenge!

Today I have spent couple of minute to build 'Request for Advance Salary' app using creator studio.

Objective: To develop an application using Creator Studio that automates the process of requesting, approving, and processing advance salary payments.

App Functionality:

  1. Request Submission:
    • Employees can submit a request for advance salary through the app.
    • The app collects necessary details such as employee information, position, and reason for the request.
  2. Approval Workflow:
    • The request is automatically forwarded to the Finance Department for approval.
    • If the Finance Department approves the request, a task is created for the Finance Support Group to process the advance payment.
  3. Task Management:
    • The Finance Support Group receives a task to process the advance payment.
    • Once the task is completed, the app sends a notification to the requester, informing them that their request has been processed.
  4. Rejection Handling:
    • If the Finance Department rejects the request, the app sends a notification directly to the requester, stating that their request has been rejected.

Experience with Creator Studio:

  • User-Friendly Interface: The drag-and-drop functionality made it easy to design and build the application without extensive coding knowledge.
  • Low-Code Development: Creator Studio's powerful low-code platform enabled efficient application development, significantly reducing the time and effort required to build the app.
  • Efficient Workflow Automation: The app automates the entire workflow from request submission to notification, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.

Conclusion: Building the 'Request for Advance Salary' app using Creator Studio was a great experience. The platform's user-friendly interface and low-code capabilities made the development process smooth and efficient. The app is expected to enhance the efficiency of handling advance salary requests, providing a better experience for both employees and the Finance Department.

Hello ServiceNow folks!! 🙋‍♂️

I’m super excited to share that I’ve completed the hashtagBuildWithCreatorStudio challenge! 🎉

About half a month ago, my wife and I were blessed with a baby boy, and being a first-time dad has been both an amazing and challenging experience. One of the biggest things I've had to juggle is keeping track of his health and vaccinations—timing, scheduling, and making sure we don’t miss a thing.

That’s where Creator Studio came to my rescue! 🙌 It's a no-code platform that allows you to quickly build apps without the hassle of waiting on IT. So, I decided to create a baby health tracker app that helps me monitor my son’s weight, schedule upcoming vaccinations, and even book appointments—all in one place! 🍼📅

No more stressing over when his next shot is due or flipping through notes to track his progress. Now I have everything in order thanks to Creator Studio. Whether you’re a developer or just love solving real-world challenges like this, I highly recommend giving it a try!

Big shoutout to the BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge for the push to build this! 💪

Hello Community,

I am happy to share that I have completed #BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge.

I have created an Out of Office Application. It will keep a track of all the leaves of an employee and to submit out of office request. Employee can submit the leave request through Out of office Request form and select the type of leave they want want to use. If it's sick leave then it will be auto - approved else it will be approved by Manager.

This application can be accessed easily via the service portal or the virtual agent.

Automated Approval Workflow: The app will route the leave requests to manager for approval. Once its approved a reminder will be triggered to employee.

Thank you ServiceNow for bringing Creator studio.

🚀 Thrilled to announce that I’ve successfully completed the #BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge!

In ServiceNow's Creator Studio, I designed and implemented a streamlined Leave Transfer Request application.

A Leave Transfer Request application is a process of transferring leave entitlements between employees. This application allows employees to easily transfer leave while the manager can review, approve or reject a request. Once the manager is approved, then it will go to the HR group to approve the request. Post approval, it updates leave automatically by the system, and it will notify the to the requestor and recipient about leave transfer update.

Using Creator Studio helps developers quickly build and customize apps like Leave Transfer Request application in ServiceNow with intuitive tools and pre-built components.

- Could invite a friend to board in the cab after the drive is booked, without any hassle.

- Could create a passenger group if the travel is fixed.

- Tracking the journey and sending notifications is hassle-free and can be controlled by the passenger themselves.

Hello @laurenmcman and Snowers,

I’m happy to say that I have finished the #BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge!

I have created an app called ‘Applause Hub’ to recognize employees who show great performance, teamwork, or make positive contributions. Colleagues, managers, and peers can use the app to send appreciation messages and recognize outstanding work.

ApplauseHub.jpg

Here’s how it works:

  1. Any employee can submit an appreciation form.
  2. If a peer/lead submits it, the form goes through an approval process.
  3. If a manager or executive leader (a VIP) submits it, the form skips approval and goes straight to fulfilment.

Creator Studio’s no-code interface made it easy to build this app in no time!"

Hello @laurenmcman & Everyone,

🚀 Excited to share that I’ve completed the #BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge! 🎉

I’ve developed a Medical Equipment Maintenance Tracking app designed to streamline the management of new and existing medical equipment. This innovative solution enhances tracking and maintenance, allowing healthcare providers to focus more on patient care. Here’s how the app operates:

main.jpg

📋 General Information Section:
Users can track crucial details about each piece of medical equipment, including Equipment Status (New/Existing), Name, Model, Manufacturer, Serial Number, Category, and Location.

⚙️ New Equipment Section:
For newly purchased equipment, users can input vital information like the purchase date, set up maintenance schedules, and capture warranty details and vendor contact information.

🔧 Existing/Old Equipment Section:
Users can log maintenance history, track the condition of devices, note service contractor details, and monitor usage status. This ensures that all equipment is in optimal working condition and adheres to safety standards.

But that’s just the beginning! 🌟

FormNew01.jpg

FormExisting01.jpg

💡 Automation through Creator Studio:
I've created a playbook that automates workflows based on the equipment's status:

- New Equipment: The system sends notifications to Procurement and Logistics, assigning tasks for maintenance setup. After setup, an approval process is triggered, notifying teams based on the outcome.

- Existing/Old Equipment: Notifications are sent to the Maintenance Supervisor for a condition review. After this review, an approval request goes to the Asset Management team. If approved, Procurement is informed; if not, the requester receives a notification.

playbook.jpg

WhatsApp Image 2024-10-03 at 02.07.52_6ea5498c.jpg

This app simplifies the tracking and maintenance of medical equipment while enhancing communication and accountability within the healthcare organization, leading to better patient outcomes.

Thanks to Creator Studio’s low-code features, I turned this idea into reality quickly. It empowers both developers and non-developers to create customized solutions! 💡

Thank you, ServiceNow, for this amazing challenge!

As a ServiceNow practitioner, I couldn’t resist getting hands-on with Creator Studio for this challenge. After some brainstorming, I came up with an idea that I believe can make a real difference: an Employee Wellbeing and Mental Health Support Application.

Key features:
🌿 Anonymous Requests: Employees can confidentially request mental health support or counseling services.
📚 Wellness Resources: Easy access to self-care tools and a wide range of wellness resources.
Approval Process: All mental health support requests are reviewed and approved by a designated, concerned individual to ensure authenticity and prevent misuse.
📧 Automated Check-ins: Regular email check-ins and well-being surveys to monitor employee wellness.

My experience with Create Studio has been exceptionally fulfilling, as it streamlines the app development process and allows me to focus on innovative solutions without getting bogged down in complex coding.

I’m thrilled to contribute to creating more inclusive, supportive workplaces with ServiceNow. 🚀
