Hello!
I’m exited to share with you all that I’ve completed the
#BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge! 🎉

I have taken a generic use case for 'Travel Desk request'.

Introduction :
The Travel Desk Request Form enables users to conveniently submit requests for various employee travel services. This streamlined process ensures that all travel needs are addressed efficiently, facilitating seamless arrangements for transportation, accommodation, and other related services to support business travel.

Use Case:
The Corporate Travel Desk Application allows employees to easily request taxi services for business travel. It streamlines the booking process by enabling users to enter trip details, receive confirmations, and track bookings. The app also manages approval workflows and maintains records for efficient travel management and reporting.

1. Title

Travel Desk requestFill this form for your travel needs

2. Primary Actor

Employee (User): This identifies the main user of the system, who in this case is the employee needing a taxi service.

3. Goal

To streamline the process of requesting a corporate taxi service for business-related travel, ensuring efficient booking and travel management: This section defines the overall objective of the use case. The aim is to make it easier for employees to book taxi services, thereby improving efficiency and reducing the administrative burden associated with travel arrangements.

4. Preconditions

These are the conditions that must be met before the use case can be initiated:

  • The employee must have access to the application and be logged in. This ensures that only authorized users can make taxi requests.
  • The employee needs to require taxi services for a specific business-related purpose, ensuring that the request aligns with corporate travel policies.

5. Main Success Scenario

This outlines the step-by-step process that takes place when the use case is executed successfully:

  1. Employee Logs In: The employee accesses the app and logs in, which is the initial step to access the services.
  2. Request Taxi Service: The employee selects the taxi service option, indicating their intent to book a ride.
  3. Enter Pickup and Drop-off Details: The employee provides necessary information, such as pickup and drop-off locations, as well as the desired date and time for the taxi service in the worknotes.
  4. Additional Information (Optional): This step allows the employee to add any special instructions or preferences, making the booking more personalized.
  5. Review and Submit: The employee reviews the provided information for accuracy and submits the request.
  6. Confirmation: After submission, the system confirms the request and provides a summary with essential details, ensuring the employee has all necessary information.
  7. Approval Workflow (If Applicable): If managerial approval is required, the request goes through an approval process to ensure compliance with company policies.
  8. Booking Finalized: Once approved, the employee receives a notification confirming the taxi booking with all relevant details.
  9. Taxi Service Provided: The taxi arrives as scheduled, providing the employee with the required service.

6. Alternate Scenarios

These are potential variations in the flow of events that can occur during the process:

  • Modification of Request: This allows the employee to change details if needed before or after submission.
  • Approval Denied: If the request is not approved, the employee is informed and can take appropriate action, such as revising their request.
  • Driver Delay or Changes: If there are issues with the taxi service (e.g., delays), the employee receives real-time updates to keep them informed.

7. Postconditions

These are the outcomes after the use case has been executed:

  • The employee’s taxi service request is successfully booked, ensuring that they have received all necessary information for their trip.
  • The company maintains a record of the booking for future reference, which is important for reporting and expense management.

Excited to share that I’ve completed the Build with Creator Studio challenge!

I’ve developed a Student Library app using Creator Studio, which includes a request form where students can provide their details, select a visit date, specify the duration of their stay, and request any necessary accessories for their visit. One of the standout features is the integration of the Playbook environment, which streamlines the approval process for library visits and automates email notifications for both approvals and denials. I was pleasantly surprised to find that a Workspace was automatically generated for the app, offering a centralized hub for users to manage and track their requests efficiently. The final step involves administrative approval, highlighting the robust functionality of the platform. Overall, I’m thoroughly impressed with how seamless and powerful this app has turned out to be, thanks to the flexibility and features of Creator Studio.

I built the ParkPass app using Creator Studio. This app simplifies the process of obtaining a parking sticker for your vehicle and tracking your request from start to finish. This app makes the process faster and hassle-free.

With this app, employee can :
1.Submit parking sticker requests with just a few clicks.
2.Provide vehicle details ( model, license plate) and select their preferred parking zone.
3.Upload required documents like vehicle registration, employee license.
4.Track request statues from submission to approval.
5.Get updates and notification when their parking sticker is ready for pickup.
6.This app also includes a approval workflow, routing requests to the employee's manager and parking team, ensuring an efficient and paperless process.

By automating and digitizing the parking sticker request process, we are reducing manual tasks, saving time and enhancing productivity across the company.

Building this app was a fantastic experience!  Creator Studio made the whole development process fast, fun and efficient! Can't wait to build more apps with it.

🚀 Excited to share that I completed the #BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge!

I built a Meeting Room Scheduler with Preferences app using ServiceNow’s Creator Studio to streamline the room booking process, making it easier for employees to find and reserve meeting spaces that fit their specific needs. This app simplifies scheduling and ensures that all requirements are met without manual intervention. 🗓

Key features include:

  1. Room Matching Based on Form Inputs: Users fill out a form that includes essential details such as email address, date and time of the meeting, number of attendees, and their room preferences (e.g., projector, video conferencing, whiteboard). Based on these inputs, the app automatically checks for available rooms that meet the specified criteria.

  2. Availability Check & Conflict Resolution: The workflow verifies room availability according to the user’s preferences and the number of attendees. If a suitable room is found, the system immediately books it and notifies the requester. If no room is available, the app suggests alternative times or rooms, ensuring that meetings can be scheduled without delays.

  3. Resource & Equipment Selection: Users can specify their needs for equipment such as projectors, whiteboards, or video conferencing tools. The system ensures that the chosen room is equipped with the necessary resources, allowing for smooth and well-prepared meetings.

  4. Notifications & Real-Time Updates: Once a room is successfully booked, the requester receives a confirmation notification. The system also sends real-time updates in case of any changes or cancellations, ensuring clear communication.

This app leverages Creator Studio to create an efficient and user-friendly room booking experience. The no-code platform allowed me to quickly design a form-driven workflow that automates room scheduling while reducing manual errors. 🎯💼

Hey @laurenmcman,

For the #BuildWithCreatorStudio challenge, I developed a simple yet effective app to streamline property maintenance management: the FixMate - Your Property's Problem Solver app.

Property managers often receive maintenance requests via scattered channels—emails, calls, or paper forms—which leads to delays, miscommunication, and tenant frustration. Managing multiple requests and contractors without a centralized system becomes cumbersome, especially for larger properties.

The Solution:

The app simplifies the entire process. Tenants can log their maintenance issues (e.g., plumbing, electrical, or appliance problems) through a user-friendly service catalog item. From there:

  • Property Managers receive an approval request, review the issue, and assign tasks to the right contractor.
  • Contractors are automatically notified and can track their tasks through the app, ensuring all stakeholders stay informed.

Key Features:

  • Issue Logging: Tenants can submit detailed maintenance requests, upload photos, and track the status of their requests.
  • Approval Workflow: Property managers receive approval notifications and can assign tasks to contractors seamlessly.
  • Task Management: Contractors receive tasks automatically, ensuring quicker response times and reducing back-and-forth communication.

You can find my social media post here on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/prashant-gupta05_buildwithcreatorstudio-creatorstudio-buildwith-activ...

Thanks,

Prashant

Back then, it took me an entire day to set up the approval process and catalog item. But with Creator Studio, I got everything done in just about 20 minutes—without writing a single line of code!
The app offers amazing benefits, including:
-Effortless Travel Booking: Users can easily input their travel details, making the booking process smooth and hassle-free.
-Seamless Approval Process: With a streamlined workflow, managers can quickly review and approve travel requests, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
-Easy Tracking of Booking Activities: Users can monitor all their travel bookings in one place, providing clarity and organization.

What makes Creator Studio truly remarkable are its features that empower users to build applications without needing extensive coding knowledge. Here are some highlights:
-User-Friendly Interface: Creator Studio offers an intuitive design that allows users to drag and drop elements, making it easy to customize apps to meet specific needs.
