1 mid server multiple instances

Question: There is one mid server and the same MID Server host/service is being shared by Dev and Prod.

 

Issue: While Prod services are working fine but for Dev the error is coming up: "services already exists"

 

What could be the cause and how to sort the issue.

Have you changed the service name in the config file? you can refer this: here: https://www.servicenow.com/community/developer-articles/host-one-mid-server-on-multiple-instances-of...  

 

Also, is this for an integration or Discovery/SM? It might not be a good idea to use the same host for both Prod and Dev for a Discovery use case.
