My PDI has been showing:
"Developer Instance is undergoing unscheduled maintenance"
for the past 6+ hours.
Current status:
Instance status shows as Offline
Accessing the instance URL gives:
502 Bad Gateway snow_adc
I already tested:
multiple browsers
incognito mode
mobile network
different devices
The instance still appears under "Manage My Instance" with all its details visible.
So, I wanted to check:
Does this mean the instance is reclaimed?
If not, is it normal for unscheduled maintenance to take this long?
- Is there any recovery action I should take from my side?
I'm new to service now, can someone help me with this. Thanks in advance.

I've been using PDI without any issues since this morning, but I've noticed several posts in the community about PDI being offline. Here are some points to consider:
- There is no support available for PDI.
- If you can wait, let's wait a bit longer.
- You can release this instance and start a new one, but you will lose your previous data. To avoid losing update sets in the future, make sure to take regular backups of your PDI.
There have been 3-4 posts in the community today about PDI failures or unavailability. Based on the responses, you might need to wait 1-2 days and hopefully, the PDI will be back online.

So, I wanted to check:
Does this mean the instance has been reclaimed?
Atul: If it is showing under Manage Instance, it means you still own it.
If not, is it normal for unscheduled maintenance to take this long?
Atul: Yes, this is normal. It has happened to many users.
Is there any recovery action I should take from my side?
Atul: Not at the moment. Until it comes back, there isn’t much you can do.

502 error means tthere is a connection issue. Wait for 24 or 48 hours then recheck.
If your PDI is offline for long, request for new instance as there is no support available for PDI.
