Hello everyone.
I added a new menu called Manual. I would like to know how it automatically translates to Japanese on a Japanese setting.

Thanks in advance.

Hello.

Unfortunately, this field is not Translated Text, so it cannot be modified in this way.

Hi,

If you have created a new menu in ServiceNow and you would like it to be automatically translated to Japanese when a user is using the Japanese language setting, you can use ServiceNow's built-in translation feature to automatically translate your menu item.

Here are the steps to follow:

  1. Navigate to the "System Definition" -> "Translations" module in ServiceNow.

  2. Click on the "New" button to create a new translation record.

  3. In the "Table" field, select "Application Menus" from the drop-down menu.

  4. In the "Label" field, enter the name of your menu item. For example, if your menu item is called "Manual", enter "Manual" in the Label field.

  5. In the "Language" field, select "Japanese" from the drop-down menu.

  6. In the "Translated Text" field, enter the Japanese translation of your menu item. For example, if you want to translate "Manual" to Japanese, you can enter "マニュアル" in the Translated Text field.

  7. Click the "Submit" button to save the translation record.

Once you have created the translation record, ServiceNow will automatically use the Japanese translation of your menu item when a user is using the Japanese language setting.

Note that this process only applies to the label of your menu item. If you have any additional text or descriptions associated with your menu item, you will need to create separate translation records for those as well.
