ACL Read on Incident not showing records

Hi,

I have been task with creating a new role that allows a user to only be able to edit 1 fields on the Incident table.

I started with creating a read ACL and adding in the new role, but when I tested the role it does not show any records in the Incident list view.

I ran the system security debug and it shows that the Read ACL for the role I create resulted true.

But still I cannot read the records.  It's also not letting me change the view of the list to Default View.  When I switch it to Default, it changes it back to Self Service view.

Am I missing something?

I figured out the issue, there is a business rule on the Incident table called Incident Query that is where the issue is.  That business rule would have to be updated.

Hi you also need to grant read access at table level that is read acl for table.none there should be OOB ACL assign role there as well and then your read acl will grant access for that field which you want editable

Hi,

Check if you have any view rule configured on the table, which might be resulting into this behavior.

Hi,

I found that the Incident table has a business rules called Incident Query that blocked displaying the records, but the view I am still unsure about.

Hello,

User needs minimum of ITIL role to see incidents, I see below ACLs are failing just see what role is required to first see the Incidents, if you have created ACL to give access to one field without giving record access then how it will work ?

https://instance/sys_security_acl_list.do?sysparm_query=name%3Dincident%5EORname%3Dincident.*%5Eoperation.nameSTARTSWITHread&sysparm_first_row=1&sysparm_view=

Please review below ACLs
