This seems like it would be a simple thing... but I haven't been able to find a good way to add an icon to the standard List view.
I would like to include a new icon/decoration in the list view to direct to a UI Page and pass the row sys_id, much like the default info icon that appears on the list (but not redirecting to the default form for the item, as it does). Testing out some various approaches, I've managed to add a UI Script that changes the href for the info icon to my desired UI page... This works, but is not a desirable solution. I was hoping someone out there has a better idea.
It would be nice if there were a table attribute for List views that was analogous to the ref_contributions or field_decorations attributes used for Form views to associate macros, but I haven't yet been able to find such a thing listed anywhere. If this truly does not exist, it might make a good Enhancement Request.
Thanks,
-Brian

I have a similar question. I have created a Customized application for Change Orders called CAB Meeting Agenda. It contains a module also called CAB Meeting Agenda. This table / form contains fields for :
- Type (Agenda or Minutes)
- Name (Minutes or Agenda Month Day)
- CAB Meeting Date
- Month of Meeting
- Created
- Updated
- Moderator
Each of these records will have an attached word document attached.
However in Sharepoint where this was originated, the records contain a MS Word Icon, indicating an attached Word Doc.
Is there a method to display the MS Word Doc Icon, in the List? Or Excel, or PDF?

Hi Robert,
This is exactly what I was asking... sorry, I haven't found the way yet.

Brian did you ever figure this out? I'm trying to replace the VIP icon with this in the List view.

Hi Shane,
Unfortunately no, I don't believe I ever came up with a more satisfying answer. I think I got preoccupied with weightier issues at the time.
Sorry no better news.
