I am a ServiceNow newbie. I have a requirement for a catalog item that needs some data fetched via rest and display as a selectable table. I can create a UI page variable to display the info but I would like to use a widget as I can use angular ,bootstrap etc.. but I am having a toughtime for a widget to show up in my catalog item.. for beginner, I just want to display hello world widget inside my catalog item and I am unable to do so.
I created a new catalog item , added a variable of type custom pointing to widget "hello-world"
I am expecting the catalog to show "hello world" when i click try it.. am I wrong ?
