Add Buttons to Work Notes in Activity Stream

Hello all,
I found this tutorial here, which allows me to edit or delete Work Notes and Addtional Comments.
Now I would like to simplify the whole thing and add a button next to Work Notes in the Activtiy Stream, with which then a pop up is called and I can change the existing comment. Then in the background the processes from the instructions would be run through.
