Add filtering options on PMO Dashboard.

on the PMO dashboard i have to add category field . it contains few choices like strategic, operational etc it grabs values from project table.

if user select any value to category, then dashboard should refresh and only project matching to select category will display .

Need suggestions to achieve this..
