Add/Remove users from group

My client doesn't have ITSM license, and have only HRSD and SPO, can they use the catalog item "Add/Remove users from group", which used the REQ, RITM and TASKs.

Thanks.

If you still have doubts, it's better to involve your ServiceNow Account Manager in this discussion to get a clear confirmation.

Hi @Palak5 ,

The HRSD license is separate from ITSM, and they provide access to different sets of functionalities.

  • HRSD includes modules like HR Case, HR Tasks, and HR Services, but it does not include access to core ITSM tables like Incident, Problem, Change, or Request (REQ, RITM, sc_task).
  • The "Add/Remove Users from Group" catalog item typically relies on Service Catalog and Request Management components (like REQ, RITM, and TASK), which are part of the ITSM suite.

So, while the catalog item might partially work (e.g., form display or submission), the full request lifecycle — including approvals, fulfillment tasks, and request tracking — may not function as expected without the ITSM license.

If your use case is strictly HR-related, you might consider rebuilding the item using HRSD-native components like HR Services and HR Tasks.

If my answer is helpful, please mark it as helpful and accept the solution.
