Adding additional Attributes to Service Graph connector

Hello Guru's:

We are updating our SCCM Connection to Service Graph - and I'm running into some issues.

Apparently, as i am new to the cmdb module, HI has stated that adding attributes is not supported by the integration.

I'm wanting to add 2 variables from SCCM. a custom field called UUID (a conversion of the VMare serial number) and Distinguished Name.  Has anyone had experience with doing this?  What are your recommendations.

I was able to get an updated SQL statement from our SCCM group. When i plug this into the Computer Identity datasource and "Load All data"  the information is coming over.  I am like wise able to get 1 variable to populate the computer table, as well as, use the second variable to configure a custom "Division" field.  However, the second variable is not populating the corresponding field in the cmdb. Additionally, we i review my work the following day the datasource SQL Statement has reverted to OOB.  Grrr.

Hi recommended I open an Enhancement ticket, but this is going to cost money.  It should be reasonable to add attributes (like LDAP) with out undue effort.  Your help is greatly appreciated.

I think my intuition was correct, but I'd like to confirm.

I created a custom data source to capture the "Additional" attributes from SCCM and linked it to the Service Graph primary scheduled load.  So far it's working as i had hoped.  But want to confirm:

1. This was the correct path

2. If there are any better ideas out there.

Thanks.

Well I think my intuition was correct.

I created a custom data source to capture the additional attributes from SCCM and tied it to the Parent Service Graph scheduled job.  Since doing this on Friday, all seems to be working as I had hoped and wanted.

But I'd still like to confirm:

1. This was the correct path to take.

2. There aren't any other better solutions.

Thanks.
