Does ServiceNow have a built-in address lookup capability (without a paid 3rd party integration)?
I'm looking to improve the user experience on our Service Portal catalog items.
Currently, users have to manually enter:
- Address Line 1
- Address Line 2
- Town/City
- County/State
- Postcode/ZIP Code
Ideally, I'd like users to either:
- Enter their postcode/ZIP code and be presented with a list of matching addresses to select from, or
- Enter a postcode/ZIP code and house number, with the remaining address fields auto-populated.
I know it's possible to integrate with providers such as Google Places, Loqate, AddressBase, Ideal Postcodes, etc., but these typically require a subscription.
Given how common address lookup has become across modern websites and applications, I'm surprised I haven't been able to find an out-of-the-box ServiceNow capability for this. It feels like a fairly fundamental user experience requirement rather than a niche use case.
My question is whether ServiceNow now provides any native address lookup functionality, or if there is a way to accomplish what I need without using a paid service.
