Allow Configuration in table

Hi,

What is the use of allow configuration field while creating table. I gone through the docs but i didnt understand its use. Can anyone explain its use by an example.

I selected Can Read,Allow access to table via webservices.

i think allow configuration is used for client scripts, ui actions and create a field but not for business rules.

I can able to create BR, but not Client scripts, UI Actions.
