Allowing a user to change state of multiple incidents from the list view

Hi,

There are several incidents (around 100) which are in Open state. A particular user needs to be able to select multiple incidents from list view and change the state to Completed. But, when that user tries to do so, it shows him the below view:

So, it says "Security prevents from writing to this field". So, I thought he did not have the necessary permissions to do it. Then, I have assigned him a role named "list_updater". But still, he is facing the same issue. 

Please let me know how to handle this. Thanks in advance.

Please check the ACL of incident table of operation list_edit.
