Alternatives to GitBook for API and Workflow Documentation?

GodSpeed

We’ve got a number of custom APIs and internal apps running on top of ServiceNow, and I’m evaluating how to best document everything cleanly.

GitBook was an option, but I’m finding it too rigid , especially when updating large API specs or referencing workflow diagrams.

Anyone using other platforms that work well for ServiceNow-focused documentation? Preferably something flexible, dev-friendly, and maybe even version-controlled.

Hi @GodSpeed

I have been using Confluence from Atlassian since over 17 years and during that time I have created several ten thousands pages. It has many free and paid plugins to extend the capabilities and many companies in this world are using it. ServiceNow even provides a Spoke so you could do implement content automations.

Hi @GodSpeed,

Have you already checked Documate (https://swissflowit.com/documate)?
