AngularJS to Angular- Is there a roadmap?

The AngularJS supported by ServiceNow does not have an official support and AngularJs has already moved on to new version and the latest being 'Angular'.

Putting this post to know if ServiceNow as a product has any roadmap to move to the latest Angular version?

I have been told by various ServiceNow folks that Service Portal will be supported but everything is moving to their new component framework. One of the reasons they did this was because how AngularJS was going to be supported if at all. So I would expect that this will not happen any time soon if it ever does.
