App Engine Studio: cannot submit application for approval

Hello and thanks for reading.

Using the App Engine Studio feature, I am unable to submit my application for approval after completing all of the tasks. This issue is persistent across users, including the super-user "System Administrator" account.

After completing the build of tables for data, experiences for catalog items and portal, building automation pipelines, adding security permissions, the submission button remains greyed out with the message:

"there was an error while retrieving your application deployment information. Contact your admin in order to submit your app."

Doesn't matter if I base my application on a template or if I build everything from scratch. This is the forth app I've tried to build today, so eager to hear any ideas.

edit: adding link I've been referring to throughout the process

I created an entirely new instance, ran through the same processes and I cannot submit my application for approval

does this App Engine Studio actually work?

The submission process doesn't work in a personal developer instance (PDI: an instance where the URL starts is something like dev12345.service-now.com). Because the process involves moving an app between instances it's not enabled for PDIs.

In a real-world scenario you would be moving the app between dev, test, and production instances and that pipeline would need to be setup. If you're in a company's development environment, then you would either need to talk to an admin or set up the development pipeline.

Are you using a PDI?

I am, thank you for that clarity.

Would it be safe to suggest that the App Engine Studio provides no value to PDI? Is there nothing that I've developed here that can be used elsewhere in my PDI?

I don't think I would say that. Using AES allows you to create an app, data model, experiences, etc. more quickly than you could otherwise, especially with experiences as it can spin you up starter workspace and portal experiences you can't find anywhere else.

What is it you're looking to use AES for in your PDI?
