Hi Team,

I have bunch of queries with regards to the knowledge management, can you please help

1. I have created a new Knowledge article template and I'm to select this while creating a new article. However, does any one know how to apply this template to the existing knowledge articles?

2. Is it possible to import word documents of knowledge article to this specific knowledge template?

3. I have enabled knowledge ownership group in my instance, does any one know how do I update the groups for the existing article without scripting?

Thanks
Johnny

HI @JohnnySnow ,

Unfortunately, OOTB, it's not possible.

Hi @Community Alums , what of the above is not possible OOTB?

Thanks

1. You can't. And besides that: you shouldn't want to. A template sets default values, which on an existing article means it overrides the content. So just do an update all if it's fields and if it's layout, you will have to apply that per article (use the review cycle so you don't have to do it all at once).

2. No. You can import Word documents, but that's it. You will need to apply any template values separately.

3. Knowledge ownership is done by Knowledge Base, so just update the KB owner group.

Hi @Mark Manders , Thanks for the reply.

1. We are not setting any default values with the Knowledge article template, the template has some field styles like font size, family etc. We also want to have a standardized look to all our KB articles, hence the template. Can you please elaborate on the review cycle point?

2. What would be the procedure to apply templates for the existing articles?

3. Got it, thanks!

Thanks
Johnny
