Approval skipped as no approver has been found - how to best add a comment to show why approval has been rejected.

Hi there,
I approval is to e rejected we force the approver to comment on that. But in case the approval has been skipped and therefor auto-rejected, there is not reason (comment) added.
Within my workflow, I would now add the comment manually within an activity to add the reason? Or is there a better way to in general add a "no approver found reason" ..

Yes as you said , updating it by workflow script is an appropriate approach.

But this seems not really the correct answer I figured out. If there was no approver found, there is not approval record that could have a comment ... !
So this will not work that easily.
