We need an approval workflow created for emergency changes, so that the approval tasks based on change criteria is generated for the 'CAB Approval' group. The Emergency changes should skip the Assess state and move directly to the Authorize state. After moving into Authorize state, the approval request should be generated to the 'CAB Approval' group. Here, if anyone member of the group approves, then change is approved and moved to Scheduled and if anyone member of the group rejects it, then the approval is no longer needed and the approval is rejected.
There is an OOB workflow named 'Change Request - Emergency'. Should we duplicate it and configure the requirements in it? Can someone help with the workflow configurations to match the requirement?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

Hi @curr_user

Atul: Yes, you can do it.
The Emergency changes should skip the Assess state and move directly to the Authorize state.
Atul: It is is OOTB. Emergency change not go in assess state.
After moving into Authorize state, the approval request should be generated to the 'CAB Approval' group. Here, suppose anyone member of the group approves. In that case, change is approved and moved to Scheduled and if anyone member of the group rejects it, then the approval is no longer needed and the approval is rejected.
Atul: yes, it is OOTB.

Atul:
There are two options:
-
Either leave everything as is with the OOTB (Out-of-the-Box) model, create a change model according to your requirements, and add a create flow as well.
-
Or, you can copy the OOTB flow, make the necessary changes, but make sure to test it thoroughly.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
