Are drilldown kind of visualization supported in platform analytics?

Hi,

I have several reports and dashboards in Classic UI. I migrated these to Platform Analytics dashboards but there are several reports and interactive filters which were not working properly in Platform Analytics , so the suggestion that came was to create the dashboards and reports from scratch on Platform Analytics directly.

I have a question that there are several reports in Classic Ui which are drill down and the same needs to be created on Platform Analytic, but how to create a drill down visualization in platform analytics and are they even supported, also we have several interactive filters on drilldown reports that works perfectly on classic Ui but were breaking on Platform Analytics, so are these filters on drilldown reports supported in Platform Analytics?

Thanks for replying @Bhuvan  . Can you please help me know the steps to create a drill down visualization in Platform Analytics? I need bar chart report first and then when a user should click on it it should open a list type report in Platform Analytics.

Thanks,

Harsha

Please see below high level steps to create data visualization. Based on your table and filter conditions change it accordingly

Go to Platform Analytics -> Library -> Data Visualizations -> Create data visualization

Select Vertical bar chart type

Under Data sources section -> Add data source. Select the table and provide filter conditions. You can also add indicators in data source based on your requirements

Select Group by field based on which data visualization will be grouped and data will be presented

Make sure Chart interaction section 'Allow chart interaction' is enabled and default option of Go to data view is selected

Save the data visualization and you can also add it to new or existing dashboard

Make sure data is correct and settings of data visualization are reflected in dashboard [Allow chart interaction]

You can export dashboard or share it with users/roles/groups

I appreciate your efforts. I have already created a visualization on which when the user clicks on the data it will take you to a List-Simple visualization(this is a drill down process that we also follow in Reporting dashboards and Classic reporting). The issue is that the filter which is called interactive filter in Classic UI, when I create such filter on Platform Analytics, the 1st level visualization follows the filter but the Lis-Simple visualization which is a drill down does not follow that filter. Please help me out in resolving this issue.

Thanks

Can you please share screenshots of what is not working in simple list visualization ?

Drill down and data filter features are out of box capabilities, so not able to relate to the issue you are facing. If you can share screenshots and explain the behavior what is not working as expected, I can look into it & help further.

Thanks,

Bhuvan

The screenshot that I have attached is of the List-Simple visualization which is a drill down. You can see a filter above the list which has System Adminstrator as an author, ideally the drill down records should have shown only those records where Author is System Administrator but it is showing other records as well where you can see other names are also there in the author. The drill down report is not getting filtered correctly as per the dashboard filter applied for author.
