Assignment Group manager is getting notifications, he shouldn't

I have an Assignment Group that has the Manager also but manager is not members of that group. I have notification sent to assignment group when incident assigned to the group.

When incident assigned to the group all members getting notification including manager and I am expecting manager should not get the notification because manager is not member nor notification contains recipent as group.manager.

This is happening on Helsinki instance.

Fredrik, I invite you to open an enhancement request... the product managers won't do it if nobody says anything.



Enhancement requests: Tell us how you would improve the ServiceNow product



While you're at it - ask for the Description field to be put on the business rule form too! Adding descriptions is a documented best practice and the field isn't even on the form. Grrr.


I can't do it now, I've got some issues with my account on the partner page so can't log in at all at the moment. Hopefully they'll be able to solve this issue after the summer.

So is my understanding correct, the group managers always receive an email, if the email is sent to a group (example assignment grp on an INC). And if want to exclude the group manager   we need to have 'exclude manager' field on the group added ?
