What is the need for Record Update after the server-side script in ATF and why do we use open existing records after Server Side Script test step?

So the thing is,

After creating a new change request in step 1, it is now trying it to update it to emergency change for that in server-side script it is removing the change model field and after that it is updating it to emergency change.

 

So to click a ui action or setting up any field or validating any field it needs to open a required form to do so.

For that it is using Open existing record and then clicking UI action.
