Attachments to a task/workflow

Hi all,

I am trying to figure out a way of making it mandatory to add an attachment in a task. Is this possible? If so, would I include it in the workflow or in the catalog item itself?

I know we are able to add an attachment by clicking the paperclip in the header bar but I would just like it to be mandatory for certain tasks.

When creating the workflow I did see "Attachment Note" but that didn't really do anything besides add a comment in one of the tasks. Anyone have any experience with this?

Hi Grace,

If you want to attach same document every time, I would suggest you to create a KB article and provide the URL which will download attachment.

In future if you want to update you can do it in one go.

One document is saved instead of multiple in system.

Thank you Bharath I didn't think of that! If I do create the article, is there a way to make it mandatory only when a certain task is assigned instead of the beginning of the catalog item?
