Authentication failing on a clone with correct credentials and admin role in place

I am requesting a clone for my client's PROD to DEV instances, when I go to submit the clone request I'm prompted for my user name and password, upon entering correctly the system is telling me the user name or password is incorrect.   I do have the admin role in the DEV instance.   My access is thru Okta, is there something overriding my password causing this error?   The client's admin is having the same error, and again with correct user name and password entered, and as well for sure he has the admin role.

Maybe Josh can help you to conform your setup: How does Okta external authentication works- this option comes with Express Service-now

In the meanwhile, I'd create a local account on Prod, and then copy it to Sub-Prod so you can get your clone done. Then work with Okta on setup.

@patricklatella ,could you give an update on how you solved this issue, if you remember?

Hi Geoffrey,

unfortunately I don't recall how this was resolved.  I would follow Michael Fry's suggestion.

Good luck!
