Auto-generating PDF and attach it to record

Hi,

I would like to automatically generate a PDF from a record and attach it to the record instead of downloading it to my computer.

I'd like to do this in a UI action, when a button is clicked.

So I would like to generate this:

automatically and then auto-attach it to the record as an attachment.

I don't know that you'd be able to leverage that drop down, but there are some share apps that can create a a PDF. You could also find some client side JS library that creates a pdf. I always question any process where you're creating a file like that and then attach it inside of SN. What is the reason for that? If the information is already there why do you need it in PDF form? Also, what if the data changes?

I agree that it seems counter-intuitive.

Basically the approvers want the PDF version form to be attached to the approval email notification.

We need this as well.  In our case, Procurement needs a "formal document" to send to the vendor. Having the PDF autogenerate after all approvals and request has been closed will save the team some time.
