AWS discovery keeps on changing VMIs state from ON->Terminated->On

We are facing issue where AWS discovery changes VMIs state from ON->Terminated->On and Install Status from Installed->Retired->Installed (refer attached screenshot)

Cloud team says they haven't terminated VM but on ServiceNow end its getting updated to Terminated. In single discovery execution, state/Install Status field gets updated to Terminated/Retired and after a few minutes it changes back to ON/Installed.

I checked discovery logs, VMs state shows ON in "Amazon AWS - Virtual Server (LP)" pattern logs, also I didn't find any pattern deletion strategy that could've caused this.

Did anyone come across similar behavior?

Did you ever get an answer? Were you able to resolve the issue? Having similar issues.

Not yet, we've HI case raised with ServiceNow for this issue.

Did you get any answer from HI on this? We also facing same issue on some instances where there is no evidence of that VM got terminated else it would have created new VM. So question is how come these state gets switched in interval of seconds.

I haven't got any solution yet on this but it seems there are 2 input payloads coming in discovery where one of the payload do not contain those VMIs.

And based on deletion strategy defined for "Amazon AWS - Virtual Server (LP)" pattern, discovery marks those VMIs are Retired.

Here weird thing is deletion strategy shouldn't run until all the pages gets processed. HI case is still on-going, i'll update once we get solution around this.
