on the related list, a backout problem tab is added
upon click on any of the problems, I get
What do I select on the decision to back out this update set

Hi, difficult to be sure from partial screenshots but the error messages seem to indicate that the records were altered after the updates were deployed IE from UI or via another update-set?
Based on the documentation, if you are happy to revert to the previous versions of these records, then you can just select 'Use Previous'

the error clearly states that there was some component which was updated after update set was committed.

Hi There,
These are usual errors which comes while we back out the update sets.
Cause of this error - the new changes has been made in a records compare to your update set changes. Now, you are backing out your update set changes and the servicenow can see new changes has been made in that record and it's giving you the error -
To decide what you want to do ->
Either you can keep the latest changes for that record which has been made after your update set changes. For that you have to select - Decide to Keep current.
Or you can keep the previous changes for that record which was already there before your update set changes. For that you have to click - Decide to use previous.
For your ease - you can click on Compare to current related link and see what are the differences and you can choose which one you want to choose.
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Kartik
