Based on your experience, how do you estimate the story points (Agile development)?
1 SP = 1hr ..or.. you use Tshirt sizing .. or.. any other method?
And when you do the estimation, does it include development, testing, documentation etc or just the development efforts?

Hi @Suggy ,
We already have listed all enhancements and efforts in our excel with some catalog codes, i have just gave you one example of SR. We always track efforts based on Complexity and work involved - How many BR needs to be created, Data migration, Custom vs OOB workflow etc.

Hi @Suggy ,
In my recent ServiceNow Agile project, we were having a practice where 1 story point equal approximately 1 hour of work. However, we've found that this approach doesn't always capture the full scope of effort required for certain user stories. For instance, a user story assigned 8 story points might not only encompass the development work but also include additional tasks such as research, design, testing, and documentation.

"However, we've found that this approach doesn't always capture the full scope of effort required for certain user stories." -- so then did you change the strategy?

Hi Suggy ,
In my current project, we use T-shirt sizing (XS, S, M, L, XL) to estimate story effort.
It includes development, testing, and documentation needed to fully complete the story.
Thanks & Regards,
