Hope everyone is doing good.
We are currently working on the BCM application, specifically within the BIA module. Our client has requested an enhancement to automate the population of dependencies for non-CMDB element during the BIA Dependency Assessment.
Current Functionality:
By default, when we click on the "Update Dependencies" button, the application auto-populates all CMDB-based dependencies related to the selected target. For our BIAs, the target is typically a business process. When the button is used, all associated dependent relationships—such as Applications, Hardware, Servers, etc.—are automatically brought in.
Requirement:
Each business process in our use case has a direct linkage to both a location and a vendor. We would like these linkage to act as a reference for automatically pulling dependencies, specifically under the "Vendor" and "Location" categories, just as the CMDB items are currently.
Could you please advise on the best approach to achieve this requirement? I have attached screenshots for your reference.
