Can filter conditions from a report be changed directly on a Dashbord?

Hello there.

I have generated a bunch of reports, and a Dashboard to present the reports.

Most of the reports are generated with the Filter condition "Created", specified with "On" "This year".

Is there a way to change the conditions directly on the dashboard, so I don't have to generate a dashboard and copies of the reporst for each your or desired period?

Looking forward to your replies.

Hi, @MartinDK .

If you are utilizing Platform Analytics data visualization, you can place Interactive Filters on your dashboards. By designing and configuring the filter definitions to match your use case, users can dynamically filter the data visualizations placed on the dashboard, as they are linked to the filter. For more details, please check the official documentation below.

regards.

If you found this post helpful, I would appreciate it if you could click the “Good” button or close the case.

It seems we are running old UI on our dashboards.

I have set up an interactive filter on the dashboard, and can now select timeperiods.

I have setup the report widget to Follow interactive filter, and when I select a timeperiod, I can se that the report refreshes on the dashboard, but the result stays the same, no matter which timeperiod I choose.

How do I set it up, so the report is refreshed with the correct timeperiod? Can it be done with existing reports?

This is what my report looks like, and I want the Created condition to change on the dashboard, in regards to the timeperiod I select in the interactive filter.

Thank you.

I am now closer to what I need.

However, I hit a snag. When setting up a filter, I applied it to every configuration from the same database.

Take a look at the screenshot.
New Articles and Retired Articles, are looking in the same Table (kb_knowledge).

For New Articles, I want to display the number of Articles created, and use the filter to display in a given timeframe. This is working well, and I get the correct numbers.

For Retired Articles, it's the same conditions, and I have applied Topic and Created By, as filters in the "report". The result as displayed is incorrect, it should read 195 (as seen in my second screenshot), where the filter i bypassed.

What can I do?

Hi @MartinDK

Filters must be based on the same tables as the reports they affect. In the report widget, select the Edit widget icon and Select "Follow interactive filter."
